Dear lady wallace
As central Otago linesman, sir Tim was very important to me and our work. I can still remember him helping from the air in his helicopter holding the wire as he unwound it. He always placed the wire on the insulator with exact precision.
He was amazing in his work lifting and placing the poles on high country and ski fields. It was a pleasure to work with him and see him fly.
Today I watched my warlords over wanaka international airshow DVD set, it includes 1998,2000, and 2002.
I enjoyed these immensely and will always remind me of sir Tim and his flying prose.
I am very sorry for your loss, he was a great man and I enjoyed knowing him.
Kind regards.
Tony Milford.

Condolences to Lady Prue Wallis and the whanau of Sir Tim Wallis on the passing of one of New Zealand's greatest heroes. This giant pounamu rock of a gentleman will be remembered as a genius for his influence on the deer farming industry in New Zealand. Not to mention his phenomenal contribution to aviation. Warbirds Over Wanaka is one of the world's greatest air shows. Sir Tim Wallis' courage was limitless. I am sure his love for his family was as well. His legacy will never be forgotten and will continue to inspire New Zealanders and people all over the world. Rest in Peace Sir Tim Wallis.

I used to work at Ansett New Zealand Queenstown airport, and we would get very excited when the control tower phoned and said the Spitfire is coming over in three minutes. We would all rush to the window and see Sir Tim waving in his aircraft.
