Shona SCANNELL Obituary

Peacefully at Highfield Life Care on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Aged 96. Dearly loved wife of the late Pat. Much loved mother, mother-in-law, and friend of Tony and Pauline (Pleasant Point), Gary and Christine (Paraparaumu), Maree and Doug Satherley (Motueka), Patricia and Graeme Carter (Sydney), Bernadette and Garry Wallace (Pleasant Point), Margaret-Mary (Marg) (Motueka), Martin and Kareena (Timaru). Much loved nana of her 15 grandchildren and her 20 great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Shona will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, Pleasant Point, on Tuesday, September 26, at 5.30pm. A Funeral Mass for Shona will be held at St Thomas' Catholic Church, corner Wai-iti and Mountain View Roads, Timaru, on Wednesday, September 27, at 1.00pm. Thereafter interment at the Pleasant Point Cemetery. Messages c/- 42 Kabul Street, Pleasant Point 7903.

Such a wonderful lady-that gave me memories of my mum and netball in Fairlie.
Shona shared so much of our local history with a smile and was welcoming and ready to share a cuddle and a story. She will be missed.
