Shona O'MEARA Obituary

It is with much sadness we announce the passing of our mother Shona, of Winton, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Clare House, aged 79 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Frank O'Meara. Loved mother of John and Michelle, Melanie and Kerry Aicken, David, Richard and Becky. Cherished Grandmother of Finn and Rory, Luke, Claire, Heidi and Emily, Jordyn, Harper and Tobin. A service for Shona will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 84 Great North Road, Winton, on Monday, September 15 at 1.00pm. Interment will follow at East Winton Cemetery. My name is Josslyne Woodbridge and I was your parents bridesmaid.
I have tried to contact Shona a few times recently, now I know why I never got an answer.
Please accept my sincere condolences at this time. Shona and I grew up in Gore so spent many years as close friends with Shona and Frank.
I now live in Christchurch so will not be able to attend the funeral service but will be thinking of all.
