Sheryl-Anne will be sorely missed at our annual 'girls' tramp every March. For the past 20+ years, 8 of us from all over NZ have got together to share a tramp, taking turns to organise and alternating between the North and South Islands. We have loved the kinship that comes from a bunch of women walking and talking in the back of beyond for almost a week - strange how you never run out of something to say! Sheryl's quiet strength and sharp sense of humour will be missed, along with her card-playing skills and camaraderie. You will be in our thoughts every March Sheryl and oft talked about. With love from the girls.

I am quite guilty that this is the earliest I had heard of Sheryl-Anne's passing. Sheryl-Anne was a very good person to work with, happy with hold discussions on connectedness and its implementation in SIL during my PhD, despite not needing to. She was particularly pleased with the conclusion that SIL was doing things right.
Invermay will not be the same without her around.

Sheryl-Anne you were always so positive, constructive, passionate and relentless. You are a genetics giant and sheep and deer breeders walk taller in your shadow. I am so glad that I had you on my team. You achieved so much and raised three amazing daughters. Thank you for everything you have done for so many of us. Rest easy.

Sheep breeders all over the country have bowed their heads and shed a tear at the news of Sheryl-Annes passing. We all benefitted hugely from the power of that mighty brain of hers and will think of her and miss her greatly.K Broadbent Pres Coopworth Genetics NZ
