Surrounded by his loving family at home on Saturday, April 4, 2026, aged 86. Loving husband of Kalpna. Loved father of Jessica and Jaydeep. Dearly loved brother of Devi Ben and adored uncle of Rasek and Ami. Messages to the Patel family, c/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. Donations are destined for the Heart Foundation and Aphasia NZ may be made at the service or online at www.heartfoundation.org.nz and www.aphasia.org.nz respectively. A celebration of Shashikant's life will be held in the Canterbury Chapel, corner Linwood Ave and Keighleys Road, on Wednesday, April 8, at 1.00pm. Burial at Sydenham Cemetery thereafter.
