Died on March 6, 2016, at Christchurch Hospital. Loved and loving wife of Neil, loved mother and mother-in-law of Sarah Jane, Andrew and Angela, Mary and James, and David and Dee; devoted Granny of Alexander, Celia; Julia, Alice, Claire; Grace, Elizabeth, Jack; William, Georgia, Tom, and Lucy; daughter of the late Sarah Jane (Sadie) and Dr James Nicol, loved sister and sister-in-law of Rachel and Grant Robinson, Ann and Jim
Hudson, Margaret Campbell
(deceased), Liz and Callum MacLeod; sister-in-law of Helen and Warwick Reid. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Janet Lambie, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Funeral Service for Janet will be held in Knox Presbyterian Church, 28 Bealey Avenue, on Friday, March 11, at 11.00am.
Private cremation thereafter.

It was my great pleasure to know and work with Janet through SeniorNet Wellington. Janet was an amazing lady with great organisational skills, a very kind heart and a tireless worker and diplomat. We missed her when she moved to Christchurch to begin another chapter in her life but wished her well. I extend to your family my heartfelt sympathy at this sad time.

I personally met you only once, but you were always talked about whenever I met mum n dad, John and I thought to visit you when we go to Stewart Island next time so I can personally say thank u for the card We received before 2 weeks, You made me feel so special, we are deeply saddened by your sudden leave, and you will b missed always. Shocked and deeply saddened by Janet's abrupt departure. Only 2 weeks ago we were exploring corners of Paterson Inlet and supping on Oban's best chowder. Janet has been a tremendous friend and a loving carer all through our married life. She will always be very close to both of us. Our sincerest love and sympathies to Neil, her siblings, and all the Lambie family. Jim and Colleen Watt.
