Samuel John (Sam):
We are devastated by our Sam's unexpected death, aged 39 years. Dearly loved son of Linda and the late David, a much loved and respected brother and brother-in-law of Tom and Hazel, Patrick and Laura. Cherished uncle of Allie, and Bailey. Sam will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his numerous family and friends. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Sam Telfer, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Funeral Service for Sam will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Thursday, May 25, at 10.00am. Followed by a burial at Yaldhurst Cemetery. Dear Sam, I´ll always remember you as the funniest and most charming boy in the room. You broke my mum´s flower pot at a party and then knocked on our door the next morning to apologise. What a gent. You loved a laugh, and we loved hearing you laugh. Those times you visited us in Sydney were always mayhem, mischief but god they were great. Thank you for such treasure in my years growing up.
Linda, Thom and Patrick my heart goes out to you in this sad time.

Feeling deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Sam.
So sorry to Linda, Thom, Patrick, family and friends who have lost such a wonderful and special person in their lives.
I am lucky enough to have many fun memories of times with Sam from my youthful years. Thank you Sam!
I remember him as cheeky, witty and hard-working among many other things.
