SEYMOUR, Ruth Bernice(nee Lockwood):
It is with great sadness that Ruth passed away at Christchurch Hospital, on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 7.09pm, with her family at her side. Much loved Mum to Jenny and mother-in-law to Grant. Grandmother to Karen and partner Trev. Great-Grandmother to Sofia and Jaden. Grandma Ruth to all the extended family. Special thanks to the management and staff at Summerset on Cavendish for the love and great care you all took of Ruth. Also, to the staff in Ward 14 at Christchurch Hospital. The Funeral Service to Celebrate Ruth's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entry from Whitmore and London Sts, Christchurch, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 10.00am. Private interment to follow.
A great friend to many.
Will be greatly missed

Fond memories of Ruth Lockwood. We were friends and went to dancing classes together. She was a my bridesmaid at my wedding in 1951 and she stayed with my relatives in England.

On behalf of the members and committee of The Basset Hound Club we pass on out thoughts and condolences to the family and friends of Ruth.
Ruth was a foundation member of the Christchurch Branch and served on the committee of the branch for many years. For her service to the club she was made a Life Member.
Farewell Ruth you will be missed.

Ruth was our special friend and we got to know her through our mutual love of Basset Hounds. We both lived in St Albans in those days. We had many meetings and social events at her house in St Albans Street, She was a special friend over many years and she will be missed.
Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
