Ruth was one in a million. We first met on my first return to a hospital appointment
August 1980 after I was hit by a car while cycling on Southbrook road in June in Rangiora suffering a serious head and body injury rendering me unconscious for 10 days. As an ambulance driver for St John she transported me to several appointments, as luck would have it, so I got to know her quite well, and since saw her socially upon occasions. What a lovely, conscientious lady.

Ruth was a most valued member of the Rangiora Bridge Club. She was always bright and full of fun at the bridge table. She will be remembered by all her friends whom she played bridge with. Our condolences to her family.

Thinking of you all. The end of an era. So many happy memories of our Southbrook Tennis days. Ruth was such an amazing woman. Always had a lovely big smile on her face and had such an infectious laugh. Loved catching up with Ruth for a natter over the years whenever we crossed paths. Enjoy this lovely family time together. Big hugs to you all.
