On August 2, 2015, suddenly at Rangiora, dearly loved husband of Doreen, loved and treasured Dad of Kim, Dale, and Erin, and father-in-law of Grant. Doting Pop to Madison, and Cassidy. Aged 70 years.

Words cannot possibly say how you are all feeling but hope you realise how many friends you have in Rangiora that are sharing the loss with you all in the sudden passing of Russell. I will miss our chats down at the NCMS hall whenever he was there doing the work on scenery. He will be really missed with his cherry smile. Our love and sympathy goes to you all.

Very, very sad to know that Russell has passed. He has been a part of our lives since we moved here. Really enjoyed singing with you Russell and for all the support you gave to Andre and all those who are part of the DHSSD. Andre said something quite sweet, he said you reminded him of Santa Clause but without the beard so clearly thought you were a lot of fun to be around =)
My sincerest and deepest condolences to Doreen, Dale, Grant, Maddy, Cassidy and all Russells family.
