Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in Greymouth on October 2, 2024, aged 86. Dearly loved husband for 56 years of Jean, loving and treasured father and father-in-law of Craig & Pauline, and Janine & Brent Foster, adored grandfather of Tanith, and Tara, a loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Sadly the sun has gone down; a tall tree in the forest has fallen whose branches cast shade in the summer and protection in winter - with compassion, humility and integrity. Memories of Russell, treasured brother-in-law will never be lost.
