Roy GEARRY Obituary

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, Roy passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loving family (aged 78 years). Dearly loved husband of Denise (née Russell). Cherished father of Richard and Andrew and father-in-law of Justine. Adored grandfather of George, Laura and Jessica. Loved son of the late George and Hazel, and loved brother of Lorraine and Robyn. Special thanks to the Nurse Maude carers and district nurses, Christchurch Hospital Respiratory and Oncology staff, and St George's Cancer Care. A special thanks to Halswell Health and Dr Rosie Grant for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude or St John Ambulance would be appreciated. Messages may be addressed to "The Gearry family" c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A private celebration of Roy's life has been held in accordance with his wishes, and a memorial service will be held in the new year.
