I first met Ross in 1995 at Kapalua Hawaii. Ross was not playing but followed Stuart jones who I was playing with. This happened several days in a row and I noticed he was always standing behind me watching me hit my shot. After a round we were gathered around and he asked me if I would like a few suggestions from him. I was always interested in improving. The wealth of knowledge he had about the swing was amazing. I do not play anymore but his advising lessons are something I will never forget.

Ah Rosco, Thanks for your coaching at Alexandra when we met and you´re hospitality at your home after hours to my family. Our dogs by the fire and a few Gins. never forget us beating Sir BobCharles and his son at Millbrook in a fathers and son format. Your last hole was magnificent. They later went on to beat Jack Nicklaus and son at the worlds in the same year. A great experience. RIM we had some good times.

I very much enjoyed the golfing days when RC was our NO 1 playing for Mid-South Canterbury at Freyberg Rosebowl Tournaments. We had our best ever finish being 4th at the Hutt in 1969. RIP.
