Rosemary Gwendolyn:
Born Balclutha, June 19, 1941, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by whnau, aroha and waiata on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Beloved wife of John Teone Hippolite (208269 Signalman JT Hippolite, K-Force). Step-mother to Rhui, Roma, Joy, John, Ken and James, and very special Nana Rosemary to all of their offspring. Dear friend and sister-in-law to Maria, Rtapu, Ngwai, Emily, Nolamay, Kathy and Melanie, and Aunty to multitudes. Dearly loved daughter of the late Bill and Gwen. Treasured unique and loyal sister of Jennifer, Fergus and Malcolm, and their families, who benefited from her wisdom, knowledge, family research and love.Rosemary will be taken to Whakat Marae, midday, Thursday, May 4. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 10.00am, at Marsden House, 41 Nile St, Nelson, after which she will buried in the Marsden Valley Cemetery with her John. Rosemary has mentored, inspired, supported and provided the opportunity for and gift of education to many. In particular she gave life opportunities to her 'son' Alvin (Dubai).
