Rosa BENNETT Obituary
Peacefully at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Aged 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Robin. Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of John and Sandra, Russell and Jacquelyn, and Alister and Elizabeth. Beloved Nana of Sarah and David Thatcher, Josh and Charlotte; the late Byron, Paul and Tash, Mark and Carla; Philip and Heather, Carl, and Samantha. And Great-Nana to Tom, Henry, Rupert; wee George; Leila, Taze; Isabelle, and Connor.
Respected and dear friend to many.
Now at peace in God's care.
Messages to the Bennett family c/- PO Box 6035, Ashburton 7749. Donations to the Ashburton St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A service to celebrate Rosa's life will be held at St David's Church, 48 Allens Road, Ashburton on Friday, December 19, 2025 commencing at 11.00am. Followed by burial at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.

To John Sandra and family, sorry to hear Rosa passed away. I only heard today hence my late condolences. She was such a lovely friend to my Mum and Dad.

Thank you for being, more than a decade, my New Zealand Mother and New Zealand Grand Mother (Ouma Rosa) to my children. You worked hard on this earth, for God and his children. You are often spoken about, in our family.

Rosa has welcomed us when we moved to Hinds.She have not left a stone untouched to assist us.She has mend so much for us as a family.We need more Rosa's in this world.I am so glad that we have had the privilege to have known Rosa Bennett. She was an ouma (grandma) for my children.The footsteps that you have left in our hearts we will never forget Rosa.People like Rosa is the light in a sometimes dark world.
