Ron was a generous friend and competitive team mate during my teenage years in the 1960s. His energy in running the St Josephs Papanui Table Tennis Club is etched in my mind. A good kind man and a great role model. My sympathies to Ron's family and friends.

Very sorry to learn of Rons passing. Approximately 55 years ago when growing up The Morrison's Mr and Mrs Clarrie and Vi plus Ron Lindsay and Mary lived next door to us and in later years both Ron and his family have lived in Kaiapoi where we also live. I have always admired Ron for his enthusiasm with anything he has done and the fact he has never let anything get in his way in his quest to live a full and useful life.Thoughts and prayers for his family who mourn the sad loss of a loved husband and family man RIP
