Ronald KNIGHT Obituary

Worshipful brother John Knight past master of Lodge of Unanimity Sumner No 3, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on January 16, 2026, aged 95 years. Much loved father of Keith, Colin, Jennifer and Tyler. Adored granddad of Amber, Oliver, Brooke and Rio. Great-granddad to Tadhg. A big brother to his sister Vera. Dearly loved son of the late Frances and John Knight. A dancer, a walker, and a very community minded man who touched many peoples lives. In accordance with Dad's wishes, a private cremation was held and his ashes will later be spread on the hills of Sumner which he passionately called his home. I worked with John @ PGG then bumped into him as a Freemason where we rekindled the friendship. Sad times but 95 is a good innings.
As Happy we have met so Happy have we been so Happily may we part and Happily meet again

Sorry to hear the news as only just seen this online. Had some really fun times growing up in Ocean View Tce and spent a lot of times at the Knights and playing with Keith. Always remember Mr Knights basement under the house where he was very skilful in making woodwork things. He was a good long time friend to my parents as well. Many memories of a good guy. RIP
