Ronald BALDWIN Obituary

Peacefully, on March 1, 2026, in Christchurch, at 86 years of age. Dearly loved husband of Sylvia for 62 years. Loving, generous father, and Master of Dad jokes to Martin and Diane, Helen and Peter, Christine and Quentin. Kind, loving Grandad to Josh and Hannah, Alex and Cassidy, Hannah, Jeremy and Jonathan, and proud Great-Grandad to Ellie. A beautiful man with a welcoming smile, unlimited cheek, delightful belly laughter and unconditional love, who will be missed beyond belief. A celebration of Ron's life will be held at Avonhead Baptist Church 102 Avonhead Road Christchurch, Friday, March 6 at 11.30am. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Bupa Parklands for their compassionate care over the past two months.

So sorry to lose another good mate. Ron and I were colleagues at Ashburton College, he in wood and I in engineering. I beat him to leave teaching by 3 months. Our sincere condolences to Sylvia and the family, God bless you each in your loss.

Hello Sylvia, so sorry to hear about Ron's death. Heard from Joyce in an email just this morning. Janis and I have good memories of staying with you and Ron some years ago now when we were living in Dunedin and passing through ChCh. Please convey our condolences to the rest of your family as well.
