Roland MACKLEY Obituary

Our sincere condolences to the Mackley family. Roly was a much loved member of the Marshland Tennis Club and well respected player. He loved nothing more than a great game of tennis. In his latter years he was the chief groundsman of the club and the grass has never been as green during summer as when Roly was looking after it. He earned his life membership by his loyalty and always helping out at the club. He will be remembered with affection by many of our present club members particularly as we celebrate 75 years of the club next year. You have earned your rest Roly, after a well lived life and we will miss you.

Sorry to hear of Roly´s passing. To be remembered as the man he was and not who he became at the end.

Roland was a keen tennis player and long time member of our club, reaching honorary membership.

It is with great sadness that I advise of Roly's passing on Friday, August 11, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He will be remembered and loved forever by his wife Marion (aka Maria Darcy). A private cremation has been held. Please accept this notice also on behalf of the Mackley family.
