Much loved husband of the late Jacquie. Adored father and father-in-law of Mike and Jo, Timothy, and Penelope and Den. Grandfather to Kendal, Chris and Trent. In accordance with Roger's wishes a private cremation has taken place. Thanks to staff at Christchurch Public Hospital in Emergency Observations and Ward 17, the Palliative Care team and Nurse Maude Hospital for caring so well for Dad. Messages to 62 Prestons Rd, Redwood, Christchurch 8051.

Thank you, Roger, for the memories, laughs, chats about music, cats and Japanese. I traipsed over half of Tokyo one day looking for Belafonte at Carnegie Hall on CD for you and it was worth it to see your reaction when you got the disc. Thanks for your help after Philip left us suddenly and showing me how to change gear with a worn out clutch in an old Mitsubishi van. Rest well.
