Roger EVEREST Obituary

It is with huge sadness we let you know of the sudden, but peaceful, passing of Roger, on December 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Treasured husband of Maree, for 48 years, loved father and father-in-law of Simon and Anna Everest, and Sarah and Mike Heggie, much loved Poppa of Madison, Mackenzie, Will, and Austin, son of the late Noel and Enid Everest. Brother and brother-in-law of Rosemary and Murray Allison, and uncle of Jane and Tim. Many thanks to the wonderful staff of Ward 19, Emergency Dept, and A3 at Christchurch Hospital, for their exceptional care of Roger. In lieu of flowers, Rog would have asked for donations to kindly be made to St John Ambulance, this can be made online at donate.stjohn.org.nz. A private family service will be held. Details will follow for a celebration of Rog's life in both Christchurch, and Dunedin, for close family and friends, at a later date.

To dearest Maree, Simon and Sarah, I am so sad to hear of Roger´s death. He was a wonderful kind, hard working, loyal man. I can´t believe we have been friends for almost 50 years. Where did the time go?
