SMITH,
Robin Vaughan Francis :

New Zealand photographer, born Timaru, 5 October, 1927. Died aged 94 years, Sydney, September 3, 2022. Much loved husband of the late Alison Smith, father of Hugh Smith, Louise Francis-Smith and Victoria Perkins. Will be remembered for his library of magnificent photographs of the world.
A love of the land,
a story-teller. A good friend. Farewell with love.

We remember Robin as a truly superb photographer and a lovely man. We commissioned Robin to do the photography for our wedding 46 years ago. And superb photos they are. Back then colour photos were a luxury and we had about a dozen colour photos included. We were thrilled with all of them. Our memories of Robin and our special day are still vivid. Sincerest condolences to Robin's family. Adrienne and Grant Miles, Christchurch.

So very sad to hear of the passing of Robin. I worked for Robin Smith Photography for many years and Robin was always so much fun to be around when he was back in Christchurch. His photographs and books were something to behold one very clever man.
May you rest in peace and it was an absolute pleasure to have known you.
