Robert John (Bob):
Passed away peacefully at Waikato Hospital, on Monday, June 12, 2023, aged 76 years. Much loved husband of Elaine, dearly loved Dad of Steve, Charlotte, Scott and Rachel, cherished Poppa/Grampy to Hannah, Hartleigh, Isaac Benny and Maddison. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at St David's Church, Te Aroha, with a service on Monday, June 19 at 1.00pm. To Elaine and Bob’s family, my heartfelt love and condolences go to each of you. I remember Bob fondly, we worked together for many years at Fraemohs Homes when you were living in Christchurch, he had the nickname of the Pomgollian which he played along so well, he was proud of his heritage, and also his Navy service. Elaine and Bob lived around the corner from me in Ashwood Street, Parklands, his front fence with the rope certainly reflected his love of the sea. I sort of lost contact with Bob and the family. He was a kind spirit, an all round good guy, a great workmate and collegue, he will be sadly missed by many
