On March 23, 2025, at Edith Cavell Lifecare, Bob passed away peacefully, aged 90. Much loved husband of Pat for 65 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Craig and Alison, Brent and Wendy, Nigel and Victoria. Proud grandfather of Anna and Jason, Alex and Steph, Nicholas and Lizzie, Jakob, Jessica and Todd, and Ethan. Loved great-grandfather of Conor, Emelia and Izaac. Much loved big brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to all his extended family. He will be deeply missed by all. Many thanks to the staff at Brookhaven Retirement Village Dementia, for their care and respect of Bob. Messages for the family can be sent to PO Box 17623, Sumner, Christchurch 8840. A service to celebrate the life of Bob will be held at the Woolston Club, 43 Hargood Street, Woolston, Christchurch, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 1.00pm.

I have only just heard of Bob's passing My sincere (if belated ) condolences to the family.
I was an organizer with the Engineers Union when Bob was the district secretary, he was very passionate in his role, both for the members and to his staff RIP Bob, you were a great stalwart for the Union and the workers you represented
