Tēnā koutou katoa. Ngā mihi aroha ki a koutou. To everyone who mourned with me in the loss of a devoted and beloved husband.
To Bishop Michael Gielen, Bishop Peter Carrell and to all the priests who visited Bob, who prayed with him and over him and celebrated his Requiem Mass - your presence was, as always, a blessing. To the Catholic Colleges and Primary Schools, the Principals, teachers and the kapahaka students who came together and farewelled Bob with such moving, emotional and heart-stirring haka, I will never forget you. To Te Huaki, leader and tutor of kapahaka - he whakahirahira to kaiārahi. To the kaikaranga who answered Bob's call, to Russell who delivered a well-researched eulogy, the pallbearers who stepped forward to carry Bob, and to the Bagpiper, Phil, who piped a farewell lament, I thank you all. To the people who attended Bob's funeral, to the many who contacted me by card, letter, text or email and those who sent flowers, your presence and your words brought us comfort. To Betsy from Manaakitanga Funerals, tēna koe e kare, tēna koe. Ma te Atua koutou e manaaki e tiaki i ngā wā katoa. Barbs.
