I was so sorry hear about Bob's passing. We lived next door to the Rochfords in the 1960s_70s and had a lot to do with Bob who we were all very fond of. Our sincere sympathy to all his family. Ursula and Brendan Sloane

What an amazing friend you have been, your generosity and kindness will never be forgotten, and so many fantastic memories, working together, surf casting, speedway, horse racing, and a little bit of nonsense.

The Westport Trotting Club send their heartfelt condolences to Isobel and the Rochford family with the shock passing of Bob. A wonderful human being, harness racing adminstrator, trainer and the "King of Kaikoura" and great friend and supporter of grass roots racing. His beaming smile and bubbly personality will be sadly missed.

Was a very big shock when Mick told me the shocking news.
When Bob lived in Timaru we were very good friends for 55 years, we had so much fun. Bob will be sadly missed by us all.
Bob will be in my heart forever will miss his wit, laughter and everything else about him.
