Robert Henry Albert:
On September 2, 2017, peacefully, only 80 days after his precious daughter Robyn died. They will be side by side at Shands Road Cemetery. The celebratory service at 2.00pm Tomorrow (Thursday) at Lamb and Hayward’s Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road. Robert (Bob) was the much loved first husband of Heather (Tangye, nee Denton). He was a strong forceful father who loved horses and played music all his life. Christine, Bruce and Colleen, Gail and Stuart Dolamore, Keith and Mayuree, Robyn (died 14 June 2017) and Alan Garrett, all and each had moments of great joy, pride in his achievement, and complex reactions to some of his more enigmatic times. Mercurial, a believer in early starts and a day’s work ahead to be enjoyed, his was a powerful personality and presence that will be surely missed but readily remembered. He had 9 grandchildren: Deborah and Christopher Negus, Claire and Sophie Garrett, Robyn and David Dolamore, Anna Grigor, Hayley Haig and Georgia Negus-Nelson. His great-grandchildren are Oliver and Amelia Negus, Eva and Edward Grigor, Chloe and Lachlan Haig.
