Robert MARCHAND Obituary
Robert James (Bob):
On October 21, 2017, Bob passed away peacefully at Palm Grove after a short illness, aged 84 years. Devoted and caring husband of Jeanene. Loving, wise, encouraging dad and father-in-law of Janvier and Sue, Jacques and Nicki, Andre and Rebecca. Kind and supportive grandad of Melanie and Jody, Kimberley, Larissa, Zachary; Leticia, Mark and Gemma, Olivia and Jack, Georgia and John; Julia, Ella, Avigail, and a playful down on knees great-grandad of Declan, Jonah; and Hector. Special thank you to the team at Alpine View and latterly Palm Grove. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Bob Marchand, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to 0800 HUNGRY would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, October 28, at 10.00am, a private interment thereafter.

Our deepest sympathy to the Marchand family for your loss. We will always remember Bob fondly as good, kind, quiet man who was very accomplished and smart. You could tell how much he cared for his family. Miguel was very grateful to work for him for the short period of time that he needed a job. We wish we could be there to say goodbye and honor his memory but we send love, hugs and prayers.
