Rita CRABBE Obituary

Passed away peacefully, at Kevin Hickman Retirement Village, surrounded with love, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Jim, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Grant, Jenny, Viv, and families, adored grandmother and great-grandmother, loved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Messages may be addressed to: The Family of the late Rita Crabbe, C/- PO Box 39127, Christchurch 8545. A celebration of Rita's life will be held in our Christchurch Crematorium Chapel, 65 Vickerys Road, Wigram, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2.00pm.

Our favourite when I worked at Hei Hei Pharmacy. I remembered her also from the fruit shop at Waimari shops. I apologized to her because as a cheeky kid I used to run in and call her Mrs Crab Apple and run away. She laughed. A really lovely lady. We always keep memories of Hornby school folk.Rita used to visit Jim at Middlepark when my Dad was there. Such a stoical person and friendly lady.We didn't realise she was from Southbrook.
