Rita Clarke Obituary

Rita Joyce on 22nd October 2010, aged 98, peacefully after a long life dedicated to helping others with her many charitable works, beloved wife of 50 years of the late Bob, Lt Commander D.S.C. R.N.V.R., much loved mother of Susan (Chambers) and Robert Bowman, of Dubai, loving grandmother to Sarah, Caroline and Jonathan. The Last of The Bees, sixty five long years after their foundation in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, who became Legends in their own lunch times. Intrepid traveller and long time admirer and supporter of Dubai, Emirates Airlines, Dubai Duty Free ATP Tennis Championships which she resolutely attended for over 15 years until 2008, where she was loved by many. Thanksgiving Service will take place at 2.30pm on Friday 5th November 2010 at St Nicholas' Church, Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Following Rita's express wish all flowers are most welcome and will be passed on to Willow Court, Harpenden who looked after her so well in the final year of her long innings. Funeral Directors L.C.
