Saddened and shocked to hear about Richard's accident. We first met in a hotel in Canterbury and had alot of common interests and pig hunting was one of them. He was of solid character and a pleasure to be around.l remember a trip he did to Gisborne about 1982 for pig hunting and we lost one of his dogs. After about a month l found it and his dog was returned. The memories were created and they have stayed with me. Happy hunting Bronsy

We were deeply saddened hearing of the tragic and unexpected loss of Richard.
He and I have been friends for many years through building and pig hunting.
I remember at a Culverden competition as the night went on the pigs Richard and I had caught got bigger and bigger...It was great fun having a few beers with friends like Richard and reminiscing.
Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time

So sorry to hear of your sudden and unexpected loss of Richard.....please accept my sincere sympathy’s to you all at this time.
Richard and I went back 30 to 40/years with pig hunting and he was my go to person when it came to facia fixing.
Last time we saw each other was at a Culverden pig hunting completion where we both reminisced and I think the pigs got bigger as the night went on....it’s a great memory.
I remember someone once wrote that our emotions are like tunnels....some short ...some long....some dark ...some light...but getting THROUGH is the key to mending the hurt we feel at this time...your fondest memories of Richard will be with us all forever.
Dave Jeffrey.
