Richard BROMLEY Obituary

To Jill, Natalie and I just heard of Richards passing and along with my sisters and their families offer you our heartfelt condolences. We had the previlege of knowing Richard for only a short period of time and found him to be a true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. His passing will be deeply felt by many and we are heartened to know that you have family and friends to support you at this very sad time Jill. Natalie and I will be back in New Zealand in September and will look in on you then.

Many happy memories of playing " test cricket" on our Papanui Rd tennis court. Then more latterly during your exceptionally funny address at our College 50 years on comparing diabolical College reports with the somewhat wiser ex student.

Much loved and never forgotten.

I first met Richard at College where he was in my House but one year behind me. Over years I have followed his career path and infrequently met him at Diamond Harbour. I also remember him playing catch with Guy at the beach. He impressed me as a loving family man and a very professional teacher. Undoubtedly he will have made his mark on countless people as he did with me. I'm only sorry that in adult life we couldn't have spent more time together.

Richard was a true gentleman in every sense of the word . It was a privilege to have known him.
