On September 21, 2022, peacefully in his sleep at Christchurch Hospital, aged 74 years. Loved husband of Denise, dearly loved father of his daughters Trina, and Cherie, and his sons Karl, and the late Kurt, and daughter-in-law Lucy Sturgess. Proud grandfather of Andrew, Tilly-Rose, Max, Morgana, Elliotte, Charlie, and Leo. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Rex Sturgess, C/- PO Box 39127, Christchurch, 8545. Rex will be farewelled in a private Family Service.

Loved father and father-in-law of Kurt (deceased) and Lucy, special Granddad Rex, to Charlie Sturgess. Thanks for being a great pal Granddad and for teaching me so much. I loved our 'boys only' time out in the shed, and I'll always treasure my tool bench you made me.
