Deepest sympathy to all the Milne family for your loss.
I forgive you Rex, for tossing a sand shoe in the cloak room at Rangiora High School in 1955 which carried on out through the door into the corridor just flying past teacher Lance Simpson's chin who happened to be passing by, then you escaping out the other exit door. Simpson ran in the first door to find the source to own up and possibly would have earned the culprit in due course a whack with the cane. Rex had by this time disappeared. The rest of the students trapped therein were issued with a punishment of writing out two hundred lines, by hand, to be handed in next day. I was one of those innocent persons trapped with the punishment of lines.
Sincerely

Dear Janet and Family. We are so sorry to learn of Rex's passing. We have very good memories of Rex's help and kindness when we purchased your farm. Georgia still comments about the chocolate fish Rex brought in his lunch box everyday which he always gave to Georgia. Much love to you all. Rest peacefully Rex. Andy & Jenny, Georgia and Bridie Beasley xx
