Passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, surrounded by his family, aged 70 years. Loved husband to Irene, father to Daniel, and Michael, much loved grandfather to Jasmine, Tyrell, Alazei, Jacob, Shanika, and Liam. A Memorial Service for Rex will be held at the Kaiapoi Workingmen's Club, 113 Raven Quay, Kaiapoi (please use the west car park entry) on Friday, January 25 at 1.00pm.

Rex you were an honest and gentle soul who will be sadly missed by all. My heart goes out to Irene who has lost her soulmate and best friend. Condolences to the extended family and to Ray having lost his twin brother. A man that many can say they admired and cared for. What a great loss to all who cared for him. My thoughts are with all the family and I can never say enough for this gentle man who was there for me always,
