Raymond MENZIES Obituary

MENZIES, Raymond James (Ray) - Passed away at Maidstone Hospital on August 22, 2014, in his 87th year after a long battle with cancer. Husband of the late Margaret, and brother and brother in law of Myra and Lex McKinnon, Jack and Alice Menzies, Les and Betty Menzies, Don and Margaret Menzies (all deceased). A Rosary for Ray will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 7.00pm at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, Main South Road, Sockburn. Flowers respectfully declined. Donations to the Cancer Society can be made at the Rosary or the Mass or posted direct to PO Box 13450, Christchurch 8141. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Thomas', Omarama, on Wednesday, August 27, at 11.30am followed by interment at the Hakataramea Cemetery at 2.30pm.

MENZIES, Raymond James — Dearly loved Uncle Ray of all his nieces and nephews, Judy Garvey, Mike Menzies, the late Tony Menzies (all of Christchurch), Kay Morrison (Blenheim), Bill Menzies (Motueka), Ross Menzies (Blenheim), Jane Caley (Auckland), and Peter Menzies (Picton), the late Heather Nehoff (Kurow), Helen Howie (Nelson), Tony McKinnon (Motueka), Roderick (Rod) Menzies (Australia), Lyle Walsh (Nelson), Elspeth Wallace (Kurow), Donalda (Pip) Nicolson, and Glynn Greaves (Christchurch). Very special friend and “Uncle Ray” to the Blackstock (Omarama), Allen (Oamaru), McGarys (Mosgiel), and Spiers (Port Chalmers and Lake Ohau) families.
He will be greatly missed
