News of Uncle Ray passing away was over sad. Every time we returned to New Zealand we would always call in on Uncle Ray & Aunty Dottie for a nice cup of tea & sandwich. Best of all was the conversations with them both. Uncle Ray would always ask if we had solar panels on the roof yet & then ask how are the boys going. I (Steve) will always have fantastic memories of growing up with the Jones's.

Fond memories of all the times we spent with Uncle Ray, he had time for everybody. He loved a chat with anybody, he never judged - his laugh was infectious. My Parents; Fred and Joan Redfern shared some delightful vacations together. Keep playing those ivories and sharing your love of music
Kindest regards to Rays family. Paula Cohen nee Redfern

So sad to hear about Ray' passing. What a life he had. He had an ability to talk to anybody. His great loves were his wife, Dottie, his children who inherited his zest for life and the many animals that were fortunate enough to share his home. Loved his visits to our place and we won't forget his words of advice.

I'm really sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I didn't know Ray well but I enjoyed his sense of humour and his interest in family history. COVID restrictions make it a hard time to loose someone. I hope you can comfort each other and have a memorial service to celebrate his life before long. Best Wishes Beth Tolley ( Maisie and Jim's daughter)
