Ray Harrison was a leader in Youth for Christ Christchurch when I was a new Christian in the 1960s. It was a huge step of faith for him to begin International needs. I have supported an orphan in International needs right from the start and still do today. I remember Ray as a humble gracious and godly man who I hugely respected. The last time I talked with him was when he came to Masterton at the Brethren church here. When I think of Ray he is still to me the example of a gracious Christian ..he is my model even still and I am 81 now. May his memory be blessed. His family have a wonderful heritage in Ray and Lorna.

Hi Wes, Greg, Gill and families,
I am so sorry to hear of Ray´s passing in 2019. I have just by chance come across this while adding another message for the passing of a family friend also called Raymond!
I wish I had been home to pay my respects. Ray was such a man of God and he and Lorna always made me feel so welcome in their home. You must miss them so.
I am currently in London finishing am MSc but will be home in January 2023.
Please do touch base. It would be so lovely to connect and remember them both.
Again, my love and thoughts as you continue to carry the special memories of such an amazing father with you lifelong.
Arohanui,
Sue

Ray Harrison stayed in our home in Brisbane when travelling through. I can still hear him playing the great hymns on our piano. Ray would come to Brisbane occasionally to tell of the International Needs worldwide ministry which he had established after leaving Youth for Christ. Off course it was off to meetings each night and weekends in homes and churches which we had previously arranged. It was a hectic time and even though we were exhausted at the end of his visit we were sorry to see him go. We praise God for Ray and Lorna for their life and ministry. Graham and Alison Jacobsen

God bless Uncle Ray and all the family. On behalf of all the many nephews and nieces that Uncle Ray has supported and prayed for over the years, we say thank you. It has been a honour to call you our uncle. A great example of someone totally living their beliefs - a life committed to supporting others.

Lighting a candle for you uncle Ray.
I hope you find peace and get to see Grandad Charles, and Lorna and others you have lost, on the otherside.
You will and are missed so much.
Love, Shadow.

What a man he was, what a couple they were, and what they did to build the Kingdom of God was incredible. Their legacy is Christians around the world who owe their life in Christ to the ministry of Ray & Lorna. Well done, good and faithful servants.
