Raymond BENNET Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Radius Hawthorne on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 aged 91 years. Much loved husband of Lynne, father of Sue, Doug, Andrew, Tim, Janine and Steven, loving grandfather to Darcia, Liam, Ty and Michaela. Special thanks to the staff at Radius Hawthorne for their care of Ray. Messages to the family of Ray Bennet, c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. Ray can be viewed at John Rhind Funeral Directors, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, tomorrow (Friday) from 9.30am to 10.30am followed by a private cremation. A memorial service for Ray will be held at a later date, details to follow.

Ray our neighbour for 30 years and good friend. Always there to give a helping hand or an entertaining chat. A remarkable octogenarian champion duathlete and extraordinary character. Rest in peace old friend. Our sincere condolences to Lynn and family. Kevan and Xiao Jing.
