In our youth, Rangi and I played roller hockey together, worked together on more than one occasion, and Rangi put on my stag party in his Pages Rd home nearly 60 years ago. Last time I spoke to him was in Picton a while back. He was a good friend, and fun to know. Sorry to read of his passing, I´ll raise a glass in remembrance. PT

We've known Rangi for over 20 years and he was also a great friend to my parents Alan and Rose Cracknell. What a character! and a man who had done a huge amount of living and lived a very full life and was a joy to know. He'll be talking up a storm in heaven. Rangi, you will be missed.

Rangi was with us at Cunliffe House Retirement Home for most of his last couple of years. Rangi was quite a character. Residents and staff are all very sad to have lost him. May Rangi rest in perpetual peace.
