Such a shock , so deeply saddened to hear of Rachel“s passing. I supervised her PhD in Criminology at Victoria University of Wellington in the late 1990s. She was a dedicated and intensely intelligent student who wrote a brilliant doctorate that passed with flying colours . Deepest condolences to her family . Professor Reece Walters

Rachel, I will forever remember your strength, tenacity, your kindness and you just being gorgeous fabulous you.

Thank you for coming into my life, I'm so very sorry I didn't get to say goodbye,

All my love to you flying high and sprinkling your beauty everywhere.

Brent, Cameron, Lauren and family my sincere condolences, hold your memories close. She loved you all so deeply.

How I met Rachel:
6th form Onslow college,.
Rachel was almaculate, very smart and always perfectly put together.....and so much fun!

We had some amazing times zipping around Wellington in my little red Lazer, being chased by the 'Cortina boys!'.
Nightclubbing in Lambton Quay, drinking Asti ,wine coolers, or Spumante thinking we were so grown up!. Taking road trips anywhere, just because we could. (Mainly Paekakariki
Hill - which felt a world away).
Sitting upstairs at the Boulevard Cafe watching everyday people walk by and making up stories of who we thought they were, and what they did.

I remember once going to the petrol station to fill up my car and Rachel demanded I stay in the car and wait for the attendees to come, as "ladies did not pump gas!" Oh different times. I'll be waiting forever it I did that today.

See you in heaven! Rachel, say hi to mum, give each other a big squeezy hug from me! Xx

Our beautiful niece, cousin,
it is with a heavy heart we say goodbye. In all our lives we must walk this lonesome road one day. In the arms of God and all members of our families that have gone before. Do not be afraid, life is not fair all the time and we all still ask why.
This is about you and your loving caring family, and the wonderful people left behind. Do not be sad but embrace all that she achieved in her short years. A privilege to have had in our family.
In Gods arms we trust and bless you until we are all called home.
Love you,
Uncle Raymond and family.
