Phyllis Joan (Joan):
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Wesley Care Christchurch. Dearly loved wife of Derek, loved mother and mother-in-law of Louise and Shane, Stephen (deceased), John and Alison, Joanne and Greg, Philip and Becky, Colleen and Aiden, loved Grandma Joan of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Maria and Keith Jenkins, (Australia), and sister-in-law of Juliet Welsh, and her nieces and nephews. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late Joan Conway, c/- 19 London Street, Richmond, Christchurch 8013. A Memorial Service to celebrate Joan's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, 19 London Street, entrance from London and Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Saturday, April 29 at 10.00am.

Dear Derek and family
So sorry to learn of Joan´s passing. Mum (Peg Walter, Aust) and Dad (Geoff - dec. 2010) often spoke of you both with fondness. We all recall our amazing NZ trip back in 1976 (circa) that we enjoyed your hospitality, kindness and friendship. We loved receiving Joan´s updates every Christmas. Thinking of you all. Andrea, Chris, Peg and families. Mum is now in care (86yo) and resides near us both in Ballarat, Vic

I have only just found out about Joans passing, Derek and Joan were always a must see whenever I was in Dunedin, I am so sad to find this out as last time I visited I had to track them down to Mosgiel. i have no contact details for anyone so if you get this message can some one please email me.

Very sad to hear of Joan's passing. She was so kind to us when we moved to Dunedin for Chris's job with a 3 week old baby and we stayed with her and Derek for about a month. Enid loved her as a great friend too. Enid is still alive but has dementia. She is now 96. All our love to the whole family. Heather and Chris Knewstubb
