Phillipa BAKER Obituary

Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at Christchurch Hospital, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, aged 66 years. Beloved wife of Mike. Treasured Mum of Ben, and Clemency, and adored Nan of Ella, and Sienna. Dearly loved sister of Deborah, and a loved Aunty of Andrea. Pip will be sadly missed by her extended family and many friends. The family would like to thank the ICU Team, at Christchurch Hospital, for all their wonderful care of Pip. Messages to the Baker family, C/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. In lieu of flowers donations to Allenvale School Children's Resources, would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Funeral Service for Pip will be held in St Peter's Anglican Church, 23 Yaldhurst Road, Upper Riccarton, parking off Main South Road, on Thursday, October 19, at 1.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

My sincere condolences to Michael and family. Pip was such a beautiful person and she helped me celebrate my birthday when I was back in Christchurch 2019 for a visit. Three school friends together.

Pip was a dedicated teacher for many years at Allenvale School. I will always remember her passion for the students and warm sense of humour. I have lovely memories of Pip's warm and cheerful smile dating back to our shared primary school days. We trained as teachers together, and I know a little of her significant impact in education. My sincere condolences to the Baker family.
