Phillip Morris Obituary

Phillip Leon Morris, age 75 of Ozan, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 in Nashville. He was born on November 15, 1949 in Nashville, son of the late Cecil Leon Morris and Edna Marie Allen Morris.

Phillip was a member of the Cross Point Cowboy Church. After thirty-three years of service, he retired from Tyson Foods, Inc. He enjoyed working on his farm, checking on cattle and even helping his wife, Louise, in their broiler houses. He also loved to hunt and fish. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lonnie Morris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Louise Morris; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Posey and Mark; one son, Jason Morris; one brother, Doug Morris and his wife, Pam; one sister, Jeanette Launius and her husband, Thomas; three grandchildren, Cecil (Sami) Anderson, and Katarina and Emmitt Morris; two great-grandchildren, Halli and Jax Anderson; a brother-in-law, Gary Efird and his wife, Sharon; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

No services will be held at this time. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
