Philippa Joan (nee Burtt):
On July 9, 2022, peacefully with her loving sons by her side, at Christchurch Hospital (Waipapa). Beloved wife of the late Christopher (Chris), loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Sonja, Mary-Jane and Paul, Daniel and Kimberley. Adored Granny of Harry, and Ted; Paddy, and Finn; Lennox, and Mia. Loved sister of Richard Burtt, and much loved by all her extended family, and friends. A special thanks to Dr Mark Cohen of Ilam Medical Centre and the Christchurch and Burwood Hospital staff, for their dedicated and compassionate care of Philippa. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated, and may be made online at bit.ly/pjturland0907. The Funeral Service to celebrate Philippa's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Monday, July 18, at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.

Phillipa was a good friend from school days when we attended Fendalton primary School and then both went on to high school at Rangi ruru where we were in the same class. I have lots of lovely memories of times spent together over this time. So sad to hear of her death and condolences to her family.

Was so sorry to read of Philippa´s passing. I only met her recently, when we shared a room in hospital, and had an instant rapport. She was a wonderful kind loving person, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
