Dear Robyn, Nigel, Christine, Michael, and Jonathan.
Please accept our deepest sympathy on your sudden loss of Philip. Adams House is very proud to be associated with Old Boys such as him. Philip was a generous, kind, witty, caring and wonderful man. Philip's delight at being acknowledged and associated with our rowing assembly last year, following the success at Maadi Cup, will always remind me of his humble and selfless devotion to CBHS, Adams House and our rowing at school.
I hope you can take some support from the fact that he was hugely respected by all those that knew him.
Kind regards
Richard Taylor

When I heard of Philips passing I was overwhelmed with sadness. A nicer, kinder and more compassionate man would be hard to find. Philip was a true gentleman in a world where gentlemen are unfortunately becoming a scarse breed. Not a visit would go past that Philip wouldn't walk me to my car and no matter what the weather, would wait for me to drive off before returning to his office. I'll remember Philip for the caring soul he was, for his wicked sense of humour and his ability to make me feel that, no matter how big a mess I may have made with my accounts each year, he could put them right.....and he would. I will forever picture his warm, genuine smile that made me feel welcome every time we met. He was more than just my accountant (and I'm sure all of his clients felt the same), he was a trusted friend. My deepest condolences and heartfelt wishes go out to his most beloved Robyn and his most cherished children whom he always spoke of with the utmost love and pride. I weep for them all and for the lost retirement that Philip was so looking forward to sharing with them which he so richly deserved but never got the chance to enjoy.
Goodbye Philip. You will always be remembered fondly and missed most dearly.

To Phillips family, it was with regret that I heard of Phillips death, a good mate to me during our school years at Adams House, although we didn't have much contact since school he was a person that was never far from my thoughts and I wish him peace, to his family my condollences and I will be thinking of you all.
I remember some good times staying on the farm when at school at weekends etc, rabbit shooting, shearing feeding and shifting stock, rest in peace Phillip.

Phillip many thanks for your friendship and support towards Christchurch Boys' High School. Your generosity, good humour and positivity were attributes that did make a difference and that as Headmaster I appreciated.
