Vale Pete, from another of the sisters in law. You were a super big brother to have; a quick and responsive wit, kindness, and a wonderful ability to encourage little girls in kite flying and other fun pursuits. I will miss you.
He whom we love
and loose
is no longer
where he was before.
He is now
wherever we are.

Pete, I'll never forget your support and belief in me when I was training for what would have been my first full marathon just before Selwyn-Jack came along, or your words of encouragement from your bike when I was struggling to complete the half two years ago ;-) I never told you, but it made a big difference.

I was never any good at speed work (torture!), but vividly remember a cold, wet Spring night when you had us running through the daffodils in the gardens (and that whistle as Dave's said!). Dad has so many fond memories of you and Glen too, and is thinking of you both. Lots of love, Rebecca.

Pete, I loved all our interactions over the years. If it wasn't for you I would never have experienced the joy of running. There was never a time when I didn't see you around Hagley Park after work, either running, or keeping your runners on pace from the comfort of your bike.

WATTS,
Peter (Pete, Coach):
Well Pete, you have run your last race. Shall miss you, the banter, that whistle, that one for the roadie beer and you calling me the "discipline of an ox".
