Peter was a great guy and many laughs were had at the track.
Mate you are gone but not forgotten by many many people who you came into contact with.
Now the checkered flag has dropped for a great fella
RIP

When you go to high school you meet lots of new people and make lots of new friends. This was my situation when I went to James Hargest High School. I meet a group of friends that had gone to North School. In no order there was Allan Gray, Russel Raines and Peter Ward. There were a couple of others but I’ve mentioned the main ones. Included with that group there was also Lindsay Yeo, Donald Orchard and Brian Potts. I was lucky enough to be included in that bigger group
Peter and I both liked, as teenagers do, the same girl. She lived at Wianiwa so one Sunday Russell Peter and I headed out to Wianiwa and driving along a gravel road we went around a corner too fast slid on the gravel and with a foot on the brake the car flipped over. So I can say that Peter and I flipped out a bit. It was a Memorial Day within my teenage years. We all left school. Peter went into parts with GWD, Russel into building, Brian into Farming,Allen to University, Donald into farming support systems and Lindsay and I into Broadcasting. Paths diverge over the years and we sort of all grew apart but we all had an affinity for each other and it was great catching up at reunions etc
I was very saddened to hear of Peters passing and I’m very sorry that I will not be able to attend his service. He was a very good man, who loved fast cars and very good jokes and I know he will be missed.

Peter was a neighbour when we both lived at Myross Bush, when we moved away we kept in touch by email. Peter was a prolific emailer of extremely good jokes which we exchanged on a regular basis. Please accept condolences from the Boult family. We will miss his continuing good sense of humour.
Kindest thoughts
