My brother and I got to spend our summer at the Voss family while we attended the school in the 90s. We had a very fond memory. The house with the lemon tree in front and rhubarb in the backyard. Sue used to bake pies, crumble and we would be tasked with making whipped cream. They would take us to the orchards to pick pears and apples. And we often walk up the giant hill with principle Voss. Also we improved our chess skills significantly.

Sad news to hear of Peter’s passing. Peter has been a great friend of my father, Tom Fraser, over the years and it was always a pleasure to have a beer and chat with Peter and the crew at the Friday evening Springlands Tavern catch up.
My condolences to the Voss Family, from Mark Fraser

As one of the few former girl students who attended MBC from 1988 to 89, and also through family connections, I was honored to have Peter as an academically infuential and calming influence in my life. Even after I left College, he maintained a keen interest in my life's progression and direction. He had an uncanny gift of being entirely relatable, yet also so relaxed, with a keen sense of fun, and a wry smile, always at the ready. A remarkable man, who lived a remarkable life. With love and enduring respect. Annabel Temple (Furman), MPH (Hons) Eureka, California, USA.

We were sad to read that Peter had passed away. Sue we have such wonderful memories of the time you and Peter lived in Kaiteriteri. The days spent on Breaker Bay beach, the parties, the nights watching the All Blacks games on TV at your house. Peter was such a bit part of it all, always lots of fun and laughter.
Thinking of you and the family with sincere sympathy and love

Went for a trail run this morning with my 11 year old daughter. I remember running with you around Northcote as a young teenager, Father and son. We used to start and finish at the Northcote YMCA. These memories came flooding back to me this morning Dad. This is the cycle of life coming full circle.

A very kind & professional school leader at MBC who gave me my first teaching position for 7th form Biology & junior science for the third term of 1988 & then a year at the Work Experience Unit, with small group teaching with Graham Northage. He let me stay with him until I found accomodation at Innes House co-ed boarding hostel in Nelson St

Dad. I am so sorry that I will not be able to be at your funeral. COVID has changed our every day lives in so many ways.
I was fortunate to have been able to return to New Zealand three times last year to see you. I will treasure those memories.
Sue, thank you so much for loving Dad for all those years. Take care and all my love
