As we travel along our path of life we meet many people - some become acquaintances, some are colleagues and some become friends. We were privileged to enjoy Peter's company for many years - humourous, caring, compassionate, intelligent, a great friend and the list continues.
Peter gave his time and skills so generously supporting us as we began our business endeavours remaining a friend and supporter even after moving to Australia.
While there are a huge number of friends and colleagues on this side of the Tasman I know that Peter continued his walk through life in Australia continuing to expand his personal group of friends and colleagues - loved and liked by so many.
Peter had many, many interests be it sport or hobbies and he passionately applied himself at whatever he enjoyed - such was the man.
To his sister, brothers and family here in NZ you shared with all of us a great man - we can only guess at the grief you feel being isolated here in NZ at this time.
Those of us who knew Peter will understand fully your loss as we also mourn the passing of Peter - a great man who has left too early.
We are two of these who Peter's life touched and we are honoured to be part of Peter's group of friends and colleagues.
RIP Peter

I was very saddened to read this this morning. I have very fond, and treasured, memories of Peter and our days at the ChCh Model Yacht Club. Thinking of you all at this time.
